  This place is basically like eating at your grandmother's house, the menu focuses on doing a few things very well and does not bother with the exotic. The mashed potatoes, gravy, and potato salad remind you of what those things are supposed to taste like - which is a far cry from what most corporate chains are serving.
  
  The portions are over generous and the prices are under market - you will be taking something home to eat and come away not feeling like your pocket was picked.
  
  The only downside are the hours and limited seating available, this is a family business so the hours are aimed at the local lunch meeting crowd - but they told me yesterday that they are considering expanding their open hours to accommodate later parties.
  
  They also have sweet tea, done properly.

  I've been going there ever since I was in young girl and when I had my girls I took them there all the time...they love it just like i do...excellent food great service and a very laid back hometown environment
